Keith Fleming and Paul Tunnacliffe win the 2023-2024 Captain & Secretary’s Winter Foursomes knocking out Michael Elysee and Nigel Harman on the 19th hole in the final round.

“Two evenly matched pairs played out a hard fought but good natured Foursomes final on Wednesday. Harman and Elysee were first to tame the cold and breezy weather and went two up over the opening two holes and were unlucky not to go three up on Church three. Fleming and Tunnacliffe eventually settled fighting back to lead by one at the turn.

Both teams played some well controlled golf in the wintry conditions over Mill but Elysee and Harman found themselves two down with four to play. However some fine iron shots to the 15th and 17th greens led to a bounce back for Elysee and Harman and they got themselves to one up on the 18th tee.

But the match was to turn again as Fleming and Tunnacliffe kept their cool to win the 18th and take the match to sudden death before a par on the 19th was enough to see them win the match.” – Keith Fleming
