Despite a few days of heavy rain and the river’s banks rising, the first board event of the year got underway with a full course. The day remained overcast with a few rays of sun breaking through every now and again. Our winning team of Alan & Mo Carruthers took full advantage of the mild conditions coming in with 42 points over The Church & The Mill.
In second place with 40 points we had Stewart & Emily Ford.
Our third place position had to be decided via countback with the teams of Peter Gray & Helen Heasman and Stuart & Jo Owens both coming in with 39 points.
Stuart & Jo scored 21 points on The Mill giving them the third place spot.
Peter & Helen’s 19 points places them in fourth.
