After two years of the event being played in September due to lockdowns and Covid restrictions the Valentine’s Greensomes returned to its original positioning in the events calendar. The cold wind was constant throught the day leading to chilly conditions for the players. This didn’t stop the teams of Stuart and Jo Owens, and Michael Elysee and Tina Morrison Sinclair from scoring 41 stableford points over the Church & Mill. We had to look at the back-nine scored on the Mill to determine our event winners.
With their 20 points over the Mill, Stuart and Jo win the 2022 Valentines Greensomes.
Michael and Tina take second place with a back-nine score of 19 points on the Mill.
Julian Smith and Susie Lee followed closely behind in third place scoring 40 points with a very strong front-nine of 21 points.
An honorable mention to the teams of Nigel Harman and Teresa Kim, Chih Liu and Amanda Day, Charlie Lesser and Sally Smith who all tied in fourth with 37 points.
