| The sun is out, the grass is green and whilst this is a perfect combination for most golfers, it carries with it risk and discomfort from environmental factors that are not present the rest of the year.
Frequent grass cutting and being surrounded by trees means that hay fever is inevitable at The Wisley, so make sure you bring an extra box of anti-histamines just to keep in your golf bag. We want you and your guests to enjoy your round and to relax for a drink afterwards without streaming eyes spoiling the view. With the Fire Severity Index currently at Very High, we would ask those that smoke on the course to be mindful and safely dispose of your cigarette butts, cigar ends, and matches, as this is a potential fire hazard in the current dry conditions. Also, a reminder that sun cream is provided in the locker rooms for your use, if not to lessen the golfers tan, to reduce the potential for future skin traumas. The Pro Shop have a lovely array of hats and umbrellas to look after your heads too. Stay hydrated and remind your guests to bring their refillable water bottles to top up with fresh chilled water at the Halfway House and Drive Inn.
