The RTJ

The annual RTJ Trophy saw Members take on all three nines of The Wisley; The Church, The Mill, and The Garden. Despite forecasts predicting the hottest day of the week, early groups were met with overcast skies, a steady breeze, and even a few drops of rain. However, conditions steadily improved, and by midday the sun was out and temperatures climbed, creating a physically demanding test of stamina and focus.

Lesley Ingram delivered a composed and consistent performance across all three nines to secure the win with 60 points. James Absalom followed closely, just one point behind, who took second place with a strong finishing stretch.

The battle for third was tightly contested, with Michael Chard, Tim Dawes, and Daryl Cook all finishing on 56 points. With positions decided on countback over the final nine holes on The Church, Michael claimed third thanks to 14 points over the last six holes. Tim and Daryl shared fourth place.

A third-place finish for Michael Chard boosts him to the top of the Rank List with 1,340.28 points, overtaking long-time leader Paul Weston, who now sits in second on 1,223.44.

Rod Lane moves up into third following another consistent performance, while Derek Love remains in the top four. The season is now wide open as we approach the height of the summer calendar.
