A surprisingly cold and windy day for the October Midweek Stableford but some impressive scores were returned. There were 73 members playing in this event.

It was a closely contested competition played over The Mill and The Garden with all of the players in the top 10 scoring net par or better. Andrew Bacon and Chih Liu were tied on 39 points in third place so we had to look at their back nines to see who took the podium place. Andrew’s 17 points over The Garden was enough for him to take third place which left Chih in fourth position.

We would normally think that 40 points would be enough to secure the victory and we’re sure Daryl Cook may have too when he returned the first score of the day but Colin Armstrong had other ideas carding 41 points and resulting in Daryl Cook finishing in second place.
