As part of our continued efforts to reduce plugged lies in our bunkers, we’ve installed a new trial liner in the front right greenside bunker on the 5th hole (Mill Course). The product, developed by Eco-Bunker, is a carpet-style liner designed to reinforce the sand and improve firmness while keeping sand and soil separate.

Installed over our existing porous tarmac base, the liner should help create firmer, more consistent bunker faces with a shallower sand depth, reducing the likelihood of plugged lies. The five-day project also included reshaping the bunker face and surrounds, adding new edging, and replacing the sand.

The bunker is now back in play, and we’ll monitor performance closely throughout the season before considering any wider rollout. As always, your feedback is very welcome.
