Momentum Children’s Charity, a local charity based in a small office in East Molesey, believes that no family whose child has cancer or a life challenging illness should have to cope alone. Their mission is to make a positive difference to families following their child’s diagnosis, helping them to cope more easily whatever the outcome.

The Wisley Foundation received a request to support Momentum’s respite boat trips to bring joy, relaxation and fond memories to many families whose lives have been turned upside down by serious illness or bereavement. Recognising the value this ’Moments on the River’ programme would bring, by brightening the lives of families at a time of great distress, The Wisley Foundation was delighted to support Momentum and ensure the boat trips continued throughout summer and into autumn, with a hugely successful and spooky Halloween boat trip.

Kate Newton, Trusts and Grants Manager at Momentum expressed the charity’s thanks commenting “If you see the boat (bright green – can’t miss it) out and about on the river, do give us a wave! Our families and our volunteer crew love to be noticed! On behalf of all of us at the charity, we are so very grateful for your contribution to this work.”
