Over the past 3 years, The Foundation has been delighted to support the Loveworks Food Bank Charity which operates in Reigate, Merstham and Redhill. The charity’s mission is to improve the lives of the local community through food, achieved by meeting the immediate needs of local people experiencing food poverty through their food banks, and working to put in place longer term solutions to help prevent the need for future foodbank use.

The grants made by The Wisley Foundation, £5,000 in each of 2022, 2023 and 2024, have been critical in helping the charity keep their great work going. A spokesperson from Loveworks commented:

“The generous donations from the Wisley Foundation have made a significant impact on Loveworks Food Bank, helping us continue our vital work in supporting local communities, and enabling us to provide essential supplies to families in need, ensuring that those facing hardship have access to nutritious meals. In February 2025 alone, we helped 511 people and sent out 218 food parcels, and Loveworks continues to receive referrals from our partner agencies every week from those struggling to afford food. The most recent donation from the Foundation enabled us to send out in excess of 220 Christmas parcels in a week (along with the regular parcels) and we were able to include extra families who were referred to us by schools too.  The partnership between the Foundation and Loveworks is a powerful example of how community-driven efforts can help make a real difference in the lives of others“
