Envision, a charity which gets no government support, has a consistent mission: to improve the life chances of young people from less advantaged backgrounds, who are often under-represented in the world of work, and to develop the essential skills and confidence proven to support their education, employment and wellbeing. It does this by helping them deliver a social action project that makes a positive change in their school or college community.

Envision is fortunate to have the support of one of The Wisley Golf Club Members, Simon Lough, who for the past 8 years has taken part in the Envision Cycling Challenge. Jeremy Llewelyn, another member, also did the ride this year for the seventh time. This year the challenge was 215 miles in East Anglia over 3 days (from 19-21 September). This area is not as flat as one may think, with a total elevation for the ride of approximately 2,500 metres! More importantly, since the cycling challenge started in 2017, this year the charity has smashed through the £1 million fund raising target.

When Simon has approached us for sponsorship support, it has been The Foundation’s pleasure to contribute. It is one of The Foundation’s aims to support Club members and staff for their charitable endeavours, and we actively encourage you to follow Simon’s lead. We look forward to hearing from you!
