Member – Member Winners

5 September 2026

Two days of exciting golf across five nine-hole rounds of varying Stableford formats produced one of the most compelling Member-Member competitions in recent memory. Day One began with a wet start and breezy conditions throughout, before the competition built to a dramatic Shoot Out finale watched by hundreds of members. This year also saw the introduction of a third flight and a wildcard route into the Shoot Out, adding a further layer of intrigue to proceedings.

Marlin Flight

Ross Kemp and Benjamin Roth topped the Marlin Flight with a commanding total of 117 points, their fifth round of 34 underlining the consistency that carried them through. Behind them, Tom Davis and Joey Miller-Cheevers and Arron Shepherd and Richard Bland finished level on 115 points, with the second Shoot Out place decided on countback. The final round score proved the decisive factor, with Davis and Miller-Cheevers edging through on 36 points to Shepherd and Bland’s 34.

Arlington Flight

Mark Savage and Tom Orssten claimed the Arlington Flight on 110 points, their fifth round of 37 the strongest closing round in the flight. Jon Horsford and Darren Collett were a single point back on 109, their own closing 35 not quite enough to overhaul the leaders but sufficient to secure the second Shoot Out place.

Concorde Flight

George York and Perry Digweed finish on 114 points with a superb closing round of 39 sealing the flight in style. Hyunho Sohn and Jungwook Seo took second on 109 points to claim the other Shoot Out spot.

Wildcard

The wildcard place produced its own moment of drama. Barry Norris and David Mitchell finished level with Alex Tonge and Neil Sharpe on 56 points across Saturday’s play, with countback required to separate them. The final round was tied again on 36 points apiece, leaving the last six holes to decide it. Norris and Mitchell edged through on 26 points to Tonge and Sharpe’s 22, claiming the wildcard spot and a place in the Shoot Out.

The Shoot Out

Played as a Greensomes with all fourteen players teeing off, the Shoot Out brought hundreds of members out to watch what proved to be a fitting finale to the two days.

Most players found the fairway or thereabouts from the tee, though Jon Horsford, Tom Orssten and Ross Kemp all found the water, leaving their respective partners to keep their teams in contention. Tom Davis produced the drive of the day, bombing his tee shot over the fairway bunkers and leaving Joey Miller-Cheevers with a short 120-yard approach to the green.

With five of the seven teams receiving shots, most players made it up to or just past the green but ultimately the Shoot Out came down to two teams. Joey left his approach approximately 15 feet from the pin, and Tom Davis stepped up and sank the putt for a 3 to a roar from the watching crowd.

Jon Horsford and Darren Collett now faced a short three-footer for a net 3 to tie and force a play-off. Hundreds of members watched on, and gasped as the putt slipped just past the hole.

Tom Davis and Joey Miller-Cheevers are the 2026 Member-Member champions.

Rank List

Darren Wills extends his lead at the top of the Rank List, adding 192.5 points to move onto 1,693.86 from fifteen events, pulling further clear of the chasing pack with the season entering its final weeks.

The biggest mover is Benjamin Roth, whose flight victory earns him 350 points and lifts him from sixth to second on 1,554.96 points, 138.9 behind the lead. It is a timely surge from Roth as the competition reaches its climax.

Daryl Cook drops to third on 1,519.45 points, 174.41 off the top having not added to his tally this week, with Peter Gray fourth on 1,507.97 points. Tim Green rounds out the top five on 1,404.84 points, 289.02 behind Wills. With only a handful of counting events remaining, the race for the Rank List title is very much alive.
