One hundred and two members took to The Mill & The Garden on Saturday for the McKenzie Cup, one of the most distinctive formats in the competition calendar. An overcast and chilly start gave way to pleasant conditions for the whole field, making for an enjoyable day’s match play against the course.
Jungwook Seo claimed the McKenzie Cup title with a commanding performance, finishing five up against the course to win by a clear margin at the top of the leaderboard.
Matthew Peck and David Barry both finished four up against the course, with countback over the last nine holes required to separate them. Peck claimed second place, finishing one up against the course on the back nine, with Barry taking third having been level with the course over the same stretch.

The top five positions remain unchanged heading into the final two counting events of the season. Peter Grayholds firm at the summit on 1,811.17 points, with Alistair Brown second on 1,777.39 points, 33.78 behind the lead. Neil Sharpe is third on 1,758 points, 53.17 behind.
Darren Wills in fourth on 1,726.5 points after adding 75.13 from the day, with Daryl Cook closing in fifth on 1,683.66 points following 101.63 points earned on Saturday.
The Arlington Final between Cary Dawes and Andrew Wolton is due to be played this week, with further points still to be allocated from that result. The October Midweek Medal and the season-closing Tournament of Champions and October Monthly Medal then remain as the final two Rank List qualifying events of 2026. The Rank List title is very much still to be decided.
