One of the windiest days of the year greeted the 102 Members who took on The Mill & The Garden, with gusts reaching over 36mph according to the on-course anemometer. A level round against the course would have been exceptional, yet three Members managed to better it despite the tough conditions.

Peta-Louise Jeffery emerged victorious, finishing 3 up against the course to claim the McKenzie Cup. Andrew Bacon secured second place, finishing 1 up over the last nine holes, edging out Ross Mair on countback, who also finished 1 up to take third.

Michael Chard remains firmly in the lead with 1,812.34 points, with Derek Love holding second place on 1,695.88 points, 116.46 behind. David Cope stays third with 1,590.7 points, while Roderick Lane and Benjamin Roth round out the top five.

With only a few events left, the October Midweek Medal, October Monthly Medal & Tournament of Champions, and the Concorde Knockout Final in which Derek Love is in contention, the 2025 season is set for an exciting conclusion.
