McKenzie Cup

One hundred and thirteen players took on The Garden & The Church for the 2024 McKenzie Cup. Michael Chard set the pace early, going out in the second group of the day and finishing 4 up against the course. His impressive round held firm throughout the day, as no one was able to surpass his lead, securing him the victory.

A tie for second place between Christopher Connelly and Michael Cawthra, both finishing 3 up against the course, led to a back-nine tiebreak. Michael Cawthra claimed second place with 3 up on his back-nine, while Christopher took third with 2 up on his back-nine.

With today’s win, Michael Chard extends his lead in the Rank List, now 413.18 points ahead of Peter Gray. Peter Harrison remains in third place, trailing by 476.9 points. Notably, Peter Harrison is in the Concorde final with his partner Peter Conroy, where the outcome on the 18th of October could add another 350 or 275 points to his total.

With just two more events to go, the October Midweek Medal and the October Monthly Medal, the race for the Rank List title is heating up, and the winner will be crowned at the End of Season Dinner!
