Despite a frost delay the March Monthly Medal was able to go ahead with the sun coming through and thawing out the frozen greens. A two-tee start was required to get the 51 Members who took part in todays competition which was played over The Garden & The Church.
Chih Liu takes the victory over the field with an impressive net two-under-par 70.
Dean Sayers followed in second place with a net 73.
Four players all came in with net 74 on their cards so we had to look at their back-nine scores to determine who would take the third place spot. Will Ashdown’s net 35 on The Church gives him the final podium position.
James Absalom (36), Alistair Brown (36.5) and Helen Heasman (37.5) just missed out and tied for the fourth place position.
This was also the first Rank List counting event of the season. With this win Chih Liu takes the lead with 500 points. Dean Sayers follows closely behind with 375 points and Will Ashdown is in third with 300 points.
