A strong turnout of members braved wet conditions for Tuesday’s Midweek Medal. The competition was played over The Garden & The Church.
Out of the seventy-one members who participated in the event, Paul Weston distinguished himself with a solid net round score of 73 (+1) which placed him at the top of the leaderboard.
Nicholas Squire and Brad Koen both finished their rounds with a net score of 74 (+2), finishing in a tie for second place.
To break the tie both players’ second nine scores on the Church were analysed, giving Brad the upper hand on Nicholas thanks to his net score of 34 strokes. Nicholas completed his second nine with a net 38.
Nicholas Squire wins the Low Gross with a score of 78.
Congratulations also to Brian Hargie for an incredible hole-in-one on Garden 3. Playing a 6-iron with a slight draw into the par-3, Brian’s ball disappeared from sight after a single bounce. Believing that it had finished behind the green, Brian discovered his ball had, in fact, found the bottom of the hole.
