Team Rest of the World defeats Team UK to win the 2023 Ladies Solheim Cup thanks to a strong start during Betterball matches and holds off a late charge in the final Singles matches.

Both teams played three rounds of six hole matches to determine the winner of the cup in the following format over The Church & The Mill: Betterball Matchplay, Greensomes Matchplay, and finally, Singles Matchplay.

In the Betterball round, Team Rest of the World jumped out to an early lead by winning three of the four matches. At the close of the Greensomes Matches, Team UK found themselves still trailing by two points with the Rest of the World leading 5-3. Team UK then attempted to regain ground by winning 4-1/2 points in Singles but it was not enough to surpass the Rest of the World team who claim the title with a final total of 8-1/2 points to Team UK‘s 7-1/2 points.

All of the participants thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and displayed their team spirit by dressing in each team’s colours (Team UK donned uniforms in Blue & Yellow whilst the Rest of the World team dressed in Red & White). Each player left the competition with a small keepsake to remember the day.
