It was another glorious day for golf at The Wisley, with a slight breeze ever present throughout the day the playing conditions were challenging.

The wind could not stop Ian Cartwright from shooting a net one-under-par 71 around The Mill & The Garden to win the June Monthly Medal.

We had three players all tied with a net-lever-par 72. We had to look at their back-nine scores to break the tie. Colin Braid net score of 38.5 on The Garden places him in the fourth place position.

Both Mo Carruthers and Colin Armstrong matched their net back-nine score with 37 so we had to look at their final six holes to determine who would take second and who would take the final podium spot. Colin’s net 25.7 over the final six holes was not quite enough to beat Mo’s net 24.4 giving her the second place finish with Colin taking the third place spot.

After today’s round Iqbal Dhanji maintains his lead in the Rank List 117.08 points ahead of Peter Gray. James Absalom jumps up 5 places into third 252.41 points behind Iqbal.
