It is with great sadness we inform you that Anshu Jain, a Wisley Member of almost 27 years, passed away overnight on Friday, 12th August, after a 5-year battle with cancer.

Anshu was an Indian-born investment banker who rose to the role of co-CEO at Deutsche Bank, and was best known for building it into one of the world’s top universal banks.

In a statement, his family said:

“We are grateful to the many people who cared for Anshu throughout his life. For us, his legacy is tenacity, honour, and love.”

Anshu will be remembered as the first non-European to lead the German institution. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
