December Midweek Medal Winner

10 December 2024

The December Midweek Medal was played under tough conditions, with a blistering cold northeast wind testing the 44 members who took on The Garden & The Church.

In first place, Colin Braid secured victory with an impressive net 2-under-par 70, teeing off in the final group of the day and claiming his second victory in the space of a week, having also won the December Midweek Stableford.

Geoff Banks followed closely in second place, shooting a net 1-under-par 71.

The battle for third place came down to a tie between Jonathan Carter-Meggs and Andrew Bacon, both finishing with net 1-over-par 73. A countback on their back-nine scores over The Church decided the podium position. Andrew Bacon took third with a net 35.5, while Jonathan Carter-Meggs finished fourth with a net 39.5.

Low Gross

In the Low Gross category, Alistair Brown delivered another standout performance, following up his win in Saturday’s Monthly Medal, shooting a gross 75 under similarly challenging conditions.

Colin Braid, continuing his strong form, claims second place in the Low Gross with a score of 77.
