A quick update on the refurbishment of the greenside bunkers on Church four. We were due to install the new “Bunker-armour” liner this week that will see an end to plugged lies on the bunker faces. However, with the super cold temperatures, the wax/polymer additive used to bind the sand together couldn’t cure sufficiently. With another week of sub-zero temperatures next week, we’re looking at the end of week commencing 13th March to complete the job. A frustrating result, but we want to make sure the conditions are right and that the quality of installation isn’t compromised. We are continuing to work in the area when conditions allow to rebuild the bunkers and their surrounds. They will be identified as GUR until finished with rope/stake used to define the construction area.
