Celebrating Sally Baljon

29 August 2024

This month, we celebrate Sally being with The Wisley for 33 years.

Sally has come to a significant milestone being associated with The Wisley and we couldn’t be prouder to acknowledge this incredible achievement.

Over the past 33 years Sally has exemplified dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment to The Wisley. Sally’s relationship with the club originally began through her roles with high end golf brands, Peter Scott, Scott & Charter, Marie Valois, Chervo and Golfino, the latter two being brands she introduced to the UK golf market. With these brands she was instrumental in the set-up of the Wisley professional shop before the Club opened. Bill Reid subsequently asked Sally to merchandise the Pro Shop windows and in store product..

In 2004, Sally worked with Jason in the Pro Shop on a part time basis, managing the tee sheet and continued to bring her wealth of fashion experience buying in the Ladies and Men’s brands in the Pro Shop. So close were Sally’s links with the golfing fashion industry, Sally set up the Golfino Trophy at The Wisley.

In August of 2007, Sally then moved to the office as Membership & Marketing Secretary, whilst continuing with her merchandising role for the Pro Shop.

In 2011, Sally relinquished the Pro Shop & Marketing role and purely focused on the flourishing Membership Secretary role.

In 2014, Sally then moved to bring her wealth and experience to the Reception / Membership Administrator role on a part-time basis.

Sally has continuously gone above and beyond, demonstrating not only exceptional skills but also the spirit of teamwork and collaboration that makes The Wisley thrive, her wealth of knowledge regarding The Wisley history is unrivalled.

As we celebrate this milestone, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Sally for her contribution, positive energy, and the impact she has on all of us. Sally’s journey here is a testament to her dedication to the club.

Please join the team in congratulating Sally for 33 years association with The Wisley and here is to many more years!
