Despite the cold and wet weather, the 2024 Bank Holiday Family Challenge saw Members and their families enjoy a day of golf and BBQ lunch at The Wisley.
Our winners the team of Tony Cates, George Cates, Tom Cates and Ben Richards came in with 89 stableford points over The Church & The Mill. They started strongly on The Church accumulating the majority of their score with a total of 49 points on their front-nine.
The team of Ashwani Mathur, Shekhar Mathur, Rod Lane and Mary Lane claimed the second place spot with 85 points.
We had a three way tie for third place, so we had to look at each team’s score on The Mill. Geoff Banks, Sam Banks, Michael Chard and Jack Chard take the spot with 39 points on their back-nine.
Claiming the fourth place position and the final prize was Paul Redwood, Lance Lavery, Tim Hubbard and Ralph Hubbard with 38 points on The Mill.
Just missing out on prize money and with 36 points on the back-nine was Robin Choudhury, Julia Choudhury, Hyunho Sohn and Jungwook Seo.
A big thank you to all the participants for braving the “damp” conditions of the day.
