Eighteen members took to The Mill and The Garden on Wednesday for the 14 Index + Stableford, enjoying a welcome change in conditions after what had been a blustery weekend. Overcast skies kept things cool, but the calm air made for far more comfortable scoring than members had experienced in recent days.

Carol James delivered the round of the day, posting an impressive 42 Stableford points to win comfortably and take the title with two points to spare.

Helen Heasman and Ping Zhang both finished on 40 points, with the countback required to separate them. Heasman claimed second place on 19 points on the back nine, with Zhang taking third on 18.

Kathy Notman-Watt finished fourth on 36 points.
