Members and their guests gathered for an enjoyable day of golf with the scope of raising funds for the The Wisley Foundation. Twenty-three teams squared-off over The Mill & The Garden in a Best Two-from-Four Stableford format before retiring to the Clubhouse for a meal with guest speakers from ‘Harry’s Hat’ – a local charity supported by the Foundation. Participants were able to further contribute to the Foundation through the traditional Charity Auction held in occasion of the event. The competition was supported by its main sponsor: Costa Navarino.
In a highly competitive field, the team of Tina Morrison-Sinclair, Cindy Dawes, Lyn Ayling, and Jane Botha-Michels (also known as the ‘Women in Black’) were no match, with an astounding score of 94 points.
Finishing three points behind on 91 points are the team comprised of club captain Keith Fleming and vice-captain Paul Weston, alongside members Diego Wauters and Tim Green.
Finally, in third place is the team of Jonathan Olsen, Jeff Olsen, Chris Hobbs, and Simon Hosking who finish together with the team of Colin Braid, Martin Collins, John Walker, and Mark Bissix on 89 points – but claim the third spot on countback thanks to a second nine score of 44 points.
Congratulations also to the winners of the sponsored on-course challenges:
