Shoot Out
The Shoot Out on Mill 9 brought the Member-Member to an exciting conclusion, with four pairs battling it out in a Greensomes format: Jack Hillier & Alistair Brown, Jon Horsford & Derek Love, Paul Basson & Paul Tunnacliffe, and Chih Liu & Paul Ungaretti.
Liu and Ungaretti found the water with their approach and finished with a 7 net 6, while Horsford & Love carded a 6 net 5. Hillier & Brown made a solid 4, matched by Basson & Tunnacliffe’s 5 net 4, sending both pairs back to the tee.
The second time around, Basson found the water off the tee but Tunnacliffe’s drive kept them in play. Hillier & Brown recovered from an early bunker shot thanks to Jack’s superb drive over the traps, leaving Alistair with a short approach. Despite excellent play from both sides, they remained tied, leading to a dramatic pitch-off.
From 50 yards, all four players hit. Basson went long, Hillier and Brown checked up short, leaving it to Paul Tunnacliffe who produced the closest shot to the pin to seal the victory.
Congratulations to Paul Basson & Paul Tunnacliffe – 2025 Member-Member Shoot Out Champions.
