The November Monthly Medal was played under a grey, overcast sky with cool temperatures and calm, wind-free conditions, perfect for steady golf.
In the first group of the day, Chris Ashworth set the bar high, posting a net-six-under 66 to take an early lead. Much later in the round, Jonathan Hubbard, a late addition to the field, matched that score of net 66. To break the tie, we looked at the back-nine countback, where Chris edged out the win with a net 31.5. Jonathan’s net 35 on the back-nine secured him a well-earned second place.
In third place was Neil Sharpe with a net-five-under 67, an impressive finish complemented by his outstanding gross score of 68, which earned him the Low Gross title for the day.
Continuing with the Low Gross competition, James Copley placed second with a gross score of 73.
Chris Ashworth and Alistair Brown tied for third with gross scores of 75.
