King of Malaysia Winners

26 August 2023

Despite the mixed weather conditions, including a 30 minute delay for lightning, a great day was had for the 2023 King of Malaysia tournament. This year’s winners were Philip Gregory and Derek Love who put on an impressive display over The Church and The Mill courses producing a total of 47 points. They started with 23 points on The Church and followed this strong score with 24 points over The Mill.

It was a close call for second place with countback over the back nine being the deciding factor. Taking second place with a better back nine of 24points were Colin Braid and Alistair Brown coming in with a total of 44 points for their round.

In third place having lost out on countback was therefore Colin Devereux and Richard Robinson, also finishing their round with 44 points and narrowly missing out with a consistent 22 points on both nines.

Last years winners Jack Hillier and John Terry gave their best attempt at a title defence, narrowly missing out on a podium finish on 43 points in a tie for fourth.
