It was a gorgeous day for all members who took part in the Easter Tankards this year with the warm sun shinning down on the course the entire day. The first group out entered the Pro Shop after their round exclaiming “we’ve got the club house leaders here!” Little did they know that they would hold this position for the rest of the day.

Iqbal Dhanji & Philip Donald came in with the winning score of 44 points over The Church and Mill. On their first hole they got zero points, however, they quickly turned it around with a birdie-net-eagle for 4 points on Church 2 and maintained their momentum for the following 17 holes.

We then had a few teams tied for second all coming in with 42 points. Jim Dickie & Tina Morrison Sinclair, Colin Devereux & Richard Robinson, and Tony Fan & Andy Zhang all chasing the leaders. We had to look at the scores on The Mill to determine our second, third and fourth place teams.

In second place we have Tony & Andy who had six holes on the back-nine with 3 points and the remaining holes with 2 points each for a total of 24 points on The Mill.

In third Colin & Richard came in with 22 points with a 4 point hole on the par-5 Mill 8.

Our fourth place team of Jim and Tina played their back-nine with 19 points. Tina made a lovely birdie on the fourth hole of The Mill to get a 4 point hole.

With this win Iqbal jumps up 7 places on the Rank List to 2nd, only 10.39 points behind our current leader Madhav Dhar. Graham Stanley drops down to third and Philip moves up 46 places into 4th place.
