Forty-eight members and their guests took to The Mill & The Garden on Thursday for Invitation Day, one of the highlights of the social calendar. The forecast had not been promising, but the day stayed dry throughout, with overcast skies and a cool breeze providing perfectly playable conditions. A fine occasion shared between members and their invited guests.

James Sackett and Sean Grant claimed the title with an impressive 45 Stableford points, winning with two shots to spare in what proved a closely fought competition at the top.

Aaron Clarke and Richard Clarke finished on 43 points to take second place after countback, their 21 points on the back nine and 15 over the last six holes edging them ahead of Mark Smith and Phil Newbold, who matched that back nine score but could only manage 14 over the last six holes. Both pairings will reflect on fine rounds on a day that rewarded consistent scoring throughout.
