One of the largest fields since golf reopened following COVID, 129 members took to The Mill & The Garden on Saturday for The Chalice. The morning began with a cold start and a fog delay, but patience was rewarded as the sun broke through and stayed out for the remainder of the day, giving the field some of the best conditions seen in recent weeks.
James Winterman claimed The Chalice title in a finish that went right down to the wire. He and Darren Wills both finished on 42 Stableford points, with countback required to separate them. Winterman took the title on 21 points on the back nine, a score that was matched exactly by his front nine total, underlining just how consistent his round was throughout.

Wills pushed him all the way, posting a particularly strong front nine of 23 points before finishing level with Winterman on 42. He takes second place on countback, with 19 points on the back nine. Bernard Yeoh rounded out the podium with a fine 41 points in third.
