Despite it being the middle of June, the weather was grey, windy and cool for the 2024 Pro-Am at The Wisley. The winning team, comprised of Douglas King, Jeffrey Wehner, Garry Jones and their pro Daniel Brown, stormed to the lead early on and maintained it all the way round. They secured the victory with 89 points. With this win the team also receives a four night stay at the fabulous Monte Rei Golf & Country Club who very kindly sponsored this year’s event.

Not too far behind was Quintin Heaney, Keith Fleming, Derek Love and The Wisley’s own Max Jordan. Their 84 points places them in second place.

There was a three way tie for third with the following teams all coming in with 82 points.

Jonathan Carter-Meggs, Geoff Atterbury, David Shepherd and their pro Ross Fisher

Tancredi Marchiolo, Rocky Chapman, Kier Boley and their pro Olivia Cowan

Ross Kemp, Arie Pilo, Richard Ellis and their pro Todd Clements

To break the tie we had to look at the scores on The Mill. With 41 points on the back-nine, Jonathan, Geoff, David and Ross claim the final podium spot.

The Professionals Individual Medal witnessed exceptional performances despite the challenging and firm conditions with a few names from the winning teams appearing again. Tom Lewis emerged as the victor, displaying some great playing with a remarkable five-under-par 67.

Daniel Brown who came in tied third in the 2023 event claimed the second place position, impressively shooting a four-under-par 68. The third place was shared by Todd Clements (mirroring his 2023 round), and James Heath, who both recorded impressive three-under-par 69 scores.

We would like to thank the Professionals for taking the time out of their busy schedules to support this competition and to our event sponsor Monte Rei for proving the excellent first place team prize.
