Monday 23rd June – Rochester & Cobham Park

It was a proud day for The Wisley as two of our own, Max Jordan and Jon Exon-Taylor, finished first and second respectively at Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship, held at Rochester & Cobham Park.

Max led the field with a superb three-under-par 68, which included a spectacular run of five consecutive birdies starting at the 3rd hole. His clinical putting and composed ball-striking under pressure proved too strong for the rest of the field.

Hot on his heels was fellow Wisley professional Jon Exon-Taylor, who claimed solo second with another fine round to ensure both players progressed to Final Qualifying, which will take place on Tuesday 1st July.
